Today is my last day of gnome obsession until I give my other stamp sets some love. I decided to use one basic gnome and sentiment stamped image and show you various changes. Here are 4 Simple Gnome for the Holidays cards that you can make with your family.
Card #1 – Fussy Cut

Card #2 – Die-cut layers and twine/ribbon

Card #3 – Emboss layer and epoxy embellishment

Card #4 – Die-cut, emboss, fussy cut, and Wink of Stella

All these cards began the same way.
I used this color palette.
DESIGN DECISIONS
The Basics
- I set up my stamps on the Stamparatus plate (see photo). Then proceeded to stamp several Crumb Cake layers and some extra gnomes using the Early Espresso ink.

- After stamping all my gnomes, I added Stampin’ White Chalk marker in swooshes on the mistletoe, mustache and beard.
- Then fussy cut a couple of gnomes for layering.
- Prepare card bases: 4-1/4″ x 11″ scored at 5-1/2″ – (3) Crumb Cake and (1) Mossy Meadow.
Layering
Card #1
- Add a fussy cut gnome over the stamped gnome.
- Use Dimensionals behind gnome and panel.
- Mount on the card base,

Card #2
- Die-cut gnome/sentiment panel and a Cherry Cobbler cardstock panel using the Stitched Rectangle dies.
- Layer the 2 panels.
- Add Dimensionals behind the Cherry Cobbler panel.
- Add Cherry Cobbler Baker’s Twine (retired) or any coordinating twine to the top of the card as shown
- Mount on the card base.

Card #3
- Die-cut gnome/sentiment panel with Stitched Rectangle dies.
- Add Dimensionals behind the die-cut panel.
- Emboss a 3-1/2″ x 4-3/4″ panel with the Winter Snow embossing folder (NEW & AWESOME!).
- Add a yellow star from the All the Trimmings Embellishments (ANOTHER NEW & AWESOME Product).
- Mount on the card base.

Card #4
- Emboss a 3″ x 3″ Mossy Meadow cardstock piece with the Evergreen Forest embossing folder (NEW & SUPER COOL!).
- Use the Layering Squares dies to cut a square from the embossed Evergreen Forest cardstock.
- Layer embossed Mossy Meadow square on a 2-1/2″ x 2-1/2″ square of Early Espresso.
- Add the layer above stamped sentiment (yes, it covers the gnome already stamped).
- Use Light Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blend to put a touch of color on the cap bow.
- Add some Wink of Stella to the gnome cap mistletoe and ornament.
- Layer a fussy cut gnome as shown.
- Mount on the card base. I used Mossy Meadow.

Notes
I had fun playing with the gnomes and creating these 4 simple Gnome for the Holidays cards. Think about having a family craft night to create your Holiday cards or Thank You notes. Everyone can get involved. Keep your color palette the same so that everything will coordinate. Bring out several options for embossing and die-cutting. Each person adds personality to their card but the basic layout remains the same. And in no time, you have shared memories, laughter, and cheery Holiday cards.

I really like the creativity you have for making these gnomes just adorable. So simple, but speaks volumes. Put a smile on my face.
Jean, I am so glad that these little gnomes put a smile on your face. That is their purpose in life and we are honored. Thanks!
Hi Ann!
It is very fun to read about your process for making four cards from the same stamp. I wish we were neighbors and we could get together and make some gnome cards together… that would be so much fun! Thanks for sharing your ideas and creativity with us. ❤️
That would be so gnomerific if we lived closer. Someday, I will be on video and we can do virtual fun.
These are absolutely adorable!!!
Thank you. So many possibilities.
