When I mention that I made a card with bits & pieces from stash, do you ever wonder if you could do it too? Today I am going to show you 8 cards made with foliage die-cuts and embossing folders. And I am sure you will want to start creating your own versions.
Pieces & Parts
Here is the foliage pile

This pile of die-cuts was created from scraps of solid cardstock. The colors are not important. The color coordination is (and that is why I LOVE Stampin’ Up!). But just because you will ask, the colors are Pumpkin Spice, Early Espresso, Champagne Foil (retired), Tranquil Tide (retired), Calypso Coral, and the Be Dazzling DSP. The Be Dazzling DSP from the FREE selections during Sale-a-bration was so popular that we can’t order it right now. Keep your fingers crossed that it will return in future catalogs.
The key and paper clips were from my loose embellishment container. Look around your stash and find some bits. I’ll bet you could come up with something equally awesome.
Which dies did I use for these die-cuts? Well, honestly, you could use any foliage dies in your stash. But here are the ones I used.
Creating the Clusters
Ready for the reveal?

I clustered 3 pieces of foliage and placed them on embossed Basic White cardstock panels (3-3/4″ x 5″). Embossing the card panels gives that extra texture that really ramps up the WOW power of the card. These cards were not going to have sentiments but I decided to play around with the THANK YOU.
Here are the embossing folders that I used.
End Results
Each one of these cards is unique and simple. Add a little bow with any ribbon in your stash. Linen Thread is my go-to trim. Try cutting a ribbon in half (up the center) and creating an organic frayed ribbon. I confess that I hoard ribbon. Don’t you shake your head at me (LOL!). There is a fine line between hoarding and collecting. So, shall we agree to use our collections (aka hoarded stash)?
