Welcome to the Gallery of Artist Trading Cards from my January 2020 ATC Swap – Birthday Theme.

Oh my, what beautiful ATCs. I can’t wait to show you. They came from Virginia, California, North Carolina, Georgia, Vermont and Illinois. We open the gallery today with 4 beautiful designs that I know you will want to CASE (Copy and Selectively Edit). After each ATC I have listed the products used to help you with supplies. At the end of this post, I will list the cardstock, inks and other items that you may need. They are listed in no particular order.

And now without further fanfare, I present to you a Gallery of Stampin’ Up! Artist Trading Cards – Birthday Theme. I highly recommend using use the ‘Price is Right’ voice while reading these because it is so much fun!

Margo Bullwinkle from Flowering Branch, Georgia

… Come on Down …

This gorgeous little card uses the Painted Poppies stamp set and the Peaceful Moments / Painted Labels dies. The lovely combination of Pretty Peacock, Mossy Meadow and Merry Merlot add a nice Spring touch to this birthday wish. Use the blade of your paper snips to ‘rough-up’ the edges for interest and dimension. TIP: A great way to attach sequins is to use the extra glue dots from the Paper Pumpkin kits.

Sue Seipel from Woodridge, Illinois

… Come on Down …

This sweet cheerful ATC uses the Butterfly Gala and Beauty Abounds stamp sets and the Butterfly Duet Punch. In happy So Saffron yellow, you can’t help but smile. Those cute sequins are adhesive-backed making them super easy to use. Adding the Silver Metallic Thread to the back of the butterfly really gives this card movement. TIP: To add metallic thread, place a couple of glue dots behind your image, wrap the thread around 2-3 fingers and pinch thread in the middle. Press the thread bundle into the glue dots.

Hello Beautiful message with butterfly

Sue Seipel “Birthday Friendship”

How can you not dream of a field of poppies when looking at this beautiful card. The sentiment is from the Timeless Tulip stamp set and is the perfect proportion for this landscape. A little blending with the light and dark Stampin’ Blends Poppy Parade on the poppies and Shimmer Black embossing powder to make the poppy centers in the field pop. (my apologies, I could not resist). The color combination of Poppy Parade and Call Me Clover gives this birthday message a summery vibe. TIP 1: If you want a straight edge for the ‘splatter’ background, mask the bottom with a piece scrap paper or low-tack masking tape (I use delicate surface painters tape). TIP 2: A dab of glue from the Fine-Tip glue pen or a small glue dot can be used under the embossing powder.

Karen Hallam from Granite City, California

… Come on Down …

This adorable little card makes great use of the new stitched label and frame dies in the Jan-Jun 2020 Mini Catalog. The sentiment is layered beautifully with little vellum backed butterflies. The background Designer Series Paper makes color coordination easy. This beautiful card includes Daffodil Delight, Bermuda Bay, Grapefruit Grove and Coastal Cabana.

Stitched So Sweetly dies are layered to create a birthday themed Artist Trading Card.
