I am heading to the Stampin’ Up! OnStage in Houston Texas next week. The event is sure to be exciting with 7000+ Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators sharing tips, creating projects with new products, and making friends. And I could not wait to use the Magnolia Mood bundle to make this thank you card for swapping.
Swapping cards is one of the many fun activities that will be taking place. I am sharing my SWAP card with you today. This is the Magnolia Mood Thank You made with the NEW ONLINE EXCLUSIVE Magnolia Mood Bundle.

CREATING THE BACKGROUND
Using the Gorgeously Made stamps, stamp the distressed type image 3 times down the center of the 3-1/” x 4-3/4″ Basic White panel using black ink. I laid scrap paper over the lower 1/2″ to keep the words from overlapping the edge.
Then line up the ‘thank you’ sentiment in the open space along the words and stamp in Old Olive ink.
CREATING PIECES & PARTS
Using the sponge daubers, add Old Olive ink to the leaves and Blackberry Bliss ink to the magnolia seed pod from the Magnolia Mood stamp set. Stamp the image onto Vellum. Let dry. Repeat the stamping on the envelope flap and maybe the message insert for extra personalization. TIP: Drying ink on Vellum takes a while. I let it dry overnight to prevent smearing. My first several attempts at stamping were smeared before I remembered to let it dry completely before die-cutting. I had ink smudges everywhere. Then I had to wash my Stampin’ Cut & Embossing plates. Oh, what a mess. 😒
Die-cut the DRY magnolia seed pod images.
Add a linen thread bow with a glue dot to the seed pod stem. TIP: This is the perfect time to use up the Paper Pumpkin glue dots that come in almost every kit.
Add a SMALL amount of Multipurpose Liquid Glue to the back of the vellum and place it in an open space on top of the words.
Add Dimensionals to the back of the Basic White panel you just completed and layer it on top of the Blackberry Bliss panel. Then add the layers to the card base.
FINISHING THE CARD
Flick a little Blackberry Bliss and/or Old Olive (I used the Dark) Stampin’ Blend onto the front of the card. Check out Flicking Ink HERE.
If you forgot to stamp the message insert and the envelope do that now. 😊
Here is an alternative Magnolia Mood Thank You card. I used a leftover notecard from a Paper Pumpkin kit and die-cut the Basic White card panel with the retired Stitched Rectangle dies. Then layered with Mossy Meadow cardstock before adding the the gold striped notecard. Remember when I mentioned all the ink smudges? I had to cut down my panel to get rid of the evidence. There is almost always a way to save your project. 🤣
I am pleased with the way this elegant Magnolia Mood Thank You card turned out and can’t wait to SWAP them with my fellow demonstrators next week.
