Hello Everyone! I missed you all. I have been trying other ways to reach out and share my creativity. But I find that I miss blog posting and my fellow crafty-peeps. I have a new mission. Going forward my projects will combine current & retired Stampin’ Up! products.
In the past, I hoped that by posting my projects and the detailed instructions I would gather some of you as team members and customers. That never materialized. So, I am going to change my posting format. My old posting format took me 2-4 hours per post to create, record measurements, take photos, and write my post. The new format will include photos and links to the products (if currently available) used to create my project but no detailed measurements. I hope that the new format will take less time, leaving me more time to create!
COMBINE CURRENT & RETIRED PRODUCTS
I will be using both current and retired products. Many of my stamp sets were purchased to create a project from my imagination or tweak a project I saw online or in a catalog. My good intentions were often thwarted by the next ‘shiny-thing’ that came along. 🤣 I still love some of those purchases and have vowed to use them. I know that many of you also have products that were purchased with the intention of creating but time flew by and they sat unloved. It is time to change that.
I love Stampin’ Up! products. Being able to combine current and retired products is a testament to the versatility and coordination in the Stampin’ Up! family of products. I may throw in some supporting products from other companies but I will always be using Stampin’ Up! cardstock and Designer Series Papers because they are absolutely the best IMHO.
HALLOWEEN CARDS
I found a retired CTMH stamp set (S1408 – What a Hoot) and created these 2 cards. Card #1 uses the sentiment from SU Bag of Bones stamp set. The DSP is Glow in the Dark, All Together, and Design a Daydream.
The Glow in the Dark DSP is die-cut from the Frozen Edges dies.
Card #2 used Butterfly Bijou DSP. Googlie eyes just make these cards fun.
I had so much fun creating these whimsical Halloween cards.
WHAT’S NEW WITH STAMPIN’ UP!
Several months ago, Stampin’ Up! acquired Close To My Heart. I am thrilled because that will bring quality scrapbooking products back into the lineup. There is an influx of new demonstrators embracing creating scrapbook pages using Stampin’ Up! products.
You may have noticed Online Exclusive products and new Kit Collections. These are new product releases that will occur throughout the year. These are fun products that are not in the catalogs but are great additions to the catalog products. I love the seasonal-themed products for Christmas and Valentine’s Day.
The kits have been improving and offer a fun experience for new and seasoned paper crafters. Not all the kits require stamping which makes them perfect for those with some mobility issues.
Paper Pumpkin kits continue to bring me lots of joy. There is even an exclusive die collection each quarter to coordinate with the Paper Pumpkin kits.
Stampin’ Up! continues to provide innovative products to the market. I am so proud to be part of the Stampin’ Up! family. I would love you to experience the joy of creating and sharing cards. Contact me to find out how you can get your Stampin’ Up! products at a discount by joining my team.
It never ceases to make my heart sing when I get a phone call or message from someone who has received a card that I made. I know that I have brightened someone’s day!
MY OTHER CRAFT OBSESSIONS
I am a creator by birth. LOL!! With encouragement from several friends, I have taken up the quilting banner. You may also see a post or two that include a little fabric. 😊 I still call myself an overconfident beginner. But I am edging into the next level.

Please comment about your favorite crafting obsession and let me know what Stampin’ Up! product is sitting in your stash waiting to be used.
I am so happy that you use retired stamps and other retired things. I too have so many things that aren’t used very much, so I’m looking forward to seeing what you come up with. The two cards you made here, are so cute. Love that. Don’t like scary Halloween cards.
Thank you for your lovely comment. I have so many retired and current products. And they all work so well together. It is time that they all rise up and show the world that they are still relevant. LOL!!!
I like the cute Halloween cards too.:)
