Do you find yourself hoarding beautiful Designer Series Papers? I most certainly do. And I am here to encourage you to use it. I found some retired Springtime Foil Specialty Paper in my stash and decided to apply some color with Blending Brushes.

colored and fuzzy cut foil outlined florals

Mixed metal finishes are trending in home decor. The Springtime Foil Specialty Paper has several pieces that are mixed metal finishes. I chose the simple outline floral page and got to work adding some of the GORGEOUS NEW In-Color Polished Pink and my favorite bright Granny Apple Green ink with my Blending Brushes.

Demonstrators are able to order some products early and I took advantage of that benefit to get the NEW In-Colors collection. The catalog will go LIVE for the world on May 4th. If you need a catalog, contact me to learn how you can obtain a complimentary copy of the 2021-2022 Annual Stampin’ Up! Catalog. If you want the option of ordering early, JOIN MY TEAM. I would love to have you.

Here are all the cards that I was able to make from one sheet of the Springtime Foil Specialty Paper.

I used every bit of those foil outlined images. The envelopes and message insert panels all got a custom look. Using the Forever Flourishing and Natures Thoughts dies for extra foliage and the Painted Texture embossing folder for dimension really gives these cards a punch.

All my card panels started out at 3-3/4″ x 5″ with a frame 3/16″ larger. A little flicking of some Granny Apple Green ink on the panel before adding the florals was fun.

If you are hoarding some of the Springtime Foil Specialty Paper – STOP! Use it NOW! The Blending Brushes make adding color so easy you wonder why you have not used this paper before. Image using these foiled flowers on a scrapbook page for Mother’s Day or Easter.

Quick go look. Do you have some in your stash?

ALTERNATIVE

What you do not have any? Here is an alternative idea for you.

Use the To A Wild Rose stamp set and Wild Rose dies. The bonus here is no fussy cutting. Emboss the line art images in gold, copper, and silver then chose your color palette to add color. Layer on your favorite ombre paper or create your own with the Blending Brushes.
