A friend asked me to design her Christmas cards using a gnome theme. We came up with this fun trio of gnomes card,
Isn’t this trio of gnomes cute? I used gnomes from the Kindest Gnomes stamp set. The sentiment is from the Merry Snowflakes stamp set.
I used the following Stampin’ Blends to make the gnomes colorful
The boots are painted using a Spectrum Noir Sparkle Black marker. There is some great shimmer going on there,
I dug deep and found Adhesive-backed Snowflakes from the winter 2014 mini catalog. They were perfect for the hat embellishment.
TIP: Line up the gnomes using a stamp positioner tool. I stamped the center gnome and then the two gnomes on either side. I was able to get them closer than if I had just lined them up and stamped them all at once.
TIP: Use the Momento Tuxedo Black to stamp the images that will be colored with Stampin’ Blends. One way to remember which stamp to use —- dye based ink with an alcohol marker. The key is to make sure the ink is dry before coloring and do not ‘scrub’ the alcohol marker (i.e. Stampin’ Blend) over the lines.
Love the Gnomes! You did a series a couple years back of all things gnomes; it was one of my favorites. So clever. Thanks for the current inspiration.
Happy Thanksgiving!
Aww thank you. I had fun with the gnomes then put them away. Glad to rediscover them.
