The NEW January-April 2024 Mini Catalog is out! I am always inspired by the samples in the catalog and online. The Stampin’ Up! I was playing with the Trusty Tool Bundle and the FREE Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the SAB Catalog and have determined that this set is a keeper. Some of the images in the DSP can be die-cut using the Trusty Tool dies. Or you can take the DSP on the road with your Paper Snips and fussy-cut while having coffee with friends. The images are not intricate and lend themselves to quick fussy-cutting. TIP: To have more control over fussy cutting, move the paper and snip in a slow continuous motion. Feed the paper into the blade close to the handle but not all the way to the tip.
The sentiments in this set are great as a thank you, birthday, or Father’s Day card.

Isn’t the pegboard die awesome? Look at all tool parts with lots of options to add metal-tone or any fun color. There is even a little stamp to put some paint on the paintbrush.
SAB Coordinating Trusty Toolbox Designer Series Paper (DSP)
And here are the coordinating cardstock colors.
ORGANIZATION TIP: Cut 1-1/2″ x 3″ strips of DSP and punch a shape from the coordinating cardstock to add to the DSP backing board.

I have already cut out tools so I will be ready to create focal bundles and embellish card inserts and envelopes. See the red and gray stripes? Looks like it will be time to build a toolbox. đ I think that the ruler paper will also be awesome on school scrapbook pages. Oh, the possibilities!!
I created 2 cards with very little stamping. I used my Paper Snips, Dimensionals, and Paper Trimmer.
Card 1 – you’re the most AWESOME
Layer some fussy-cut tools on a 3-3/4″ x 5″ DSP background panel. Stamp the sentiment on Basic White cardstock and layer it with a fussy-cut clamp with Dimensionals. Put that panel on a layer of 4″ x 5-1/4″ Gray Granite cardstock. Layer on a top fold card base (4-1/4″ x 11″ scored at 5-1/2″).
I think that putting one or two elements on Dimensional adds a nice touch. TIP: You will need lots of Dimensionals on the thinner cut-outs to prevent them from snagging and sagging.
Card 2 – DAD
Add Dimensionals behind a drill. Stamp DAD on Gray Granite cardstock with black ink and fussy-cut. Layer the fussy-cut tools on a 3-3/4″ x 5″ DSP background panel.
Don’t forget to add some embellishments to the card inserts and the envelopes.

Always so thoughtful. Love the idea of making a card to give someone that is doing construction in your home.
There is something about holding a card in your hand that says “I appreciate you!” and you have to pay them anyway, may as well make it pretty. LOL!!!
I was so pleased to find your post. Theyâve been missing from my email for quite a while. Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts and great ideas. I had passed over the Hot Air Balloon bundle. After reading your comments and seeing your examples I knew I could create with that bundle. The tools were an immediate âyesâ but I never considered a thank you card for a workman, of course!
