CREATING PIECES & PARTS

I planned on making several different designs using the same basic parts. So I set about cutting several of the Cherry Cobbler berry branches. Stamped and die-cut the holly leaves and the larger white berry branches. Doing all this in advance makes designing easy. Just use the pieces and parts in the pile!

Adhere the 1/4″ strips to the outer edges of the darker panel. OPTION: You could cut the striped paper to 3-1/2″ x 4-3/4″ and the darker paper to 3″ x 4-3/4″. TIP: To make aligning the edges of the strips easier, use the inside corner of the Stamparatus. Lay the darker panel flat in the corner. Put a little Multipurpose Liquid Glue on the strip and nudge it straight along the long edge of the panel.

Stamp the holly leaves on So Succulent with Evening Evergreen ink. Crease the holly leaf in half. Add a mini black Dimensional to the outside of the leaf. Use a glue dot on the bottom tip and adhere to the background panel. Layer the remaining branches.

Stamp the sentiment with white craft ink and heat emboss with white embossing powder. Punch out with the Tailored Tag punch. To create the ‘chalkboard look, drag the white ink pad gently over the edges (from the edge to the center). Let dry. Add Dimensionals and layer onto the foliage cluster.

Add a Cherry Cobbler bow using a glue dot to adhere.

Customize the envelope with a strip of Tidings of Christmas DSP. Add some personalizing on the message insert and you are good to go.

Now here is the super fun part of this card design. It is very portable thanks to the Mini Cut & Emboss Machine. You can have all your pieces die-cut and assemble while having coffee or tea with friends. You will have a nice stack of holiday thank you notes.

BONUS CARD

Here is another card created from the pile of pieces & parts. I added a little bit of Simply Elegant Trim and die-cut the sentiment using the Give it a Whirl dies.
