GATHER SUPPLIES
- Thick Basic White cardstock
- Basic Black cardstock
- Mango Melody or Pumpkin Pie cardstock
- Tulip Builder punch
- Memento Tuxedo Black ink pad
- Dimensionals
- Multipurpose Liquid Glue
- OPTIONAL: Cracker & Treat Box dies for the stars
CREATING & ASSEMBLING
Stamp the word ‘boo!’ in black ink all over the background. It doesn’t make any difference if it is lined up straight or all over. The stamp is a photopolymer and easy to see the paper underneath to prevent (minimize) overlap. It might also be fun to have kids write ‘BOO!’ in their own handwriting for some real personal flair.
Punch out the tulip and draw faces on the ghosts. The sillier the better. Add 3 large Dimensionals to the back of the ghost. Then add the ghosts to the background.
Layer the card fronts. I chose to do a wonky layering to make it easier for kids to line up. Here is where you know yourself and your kids, I would use Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Put some on a paper plate and use a sponge or paintbrush to apply the glue to your project.
For a little more color try using the Celebrate Everything DSP as the background and stamp the sentiment on colored cardstock. Use Dimensionals to make the elements pop. I also added some stars from the Cracker & Treat Box dies. Have the kids use the Mini Cut & Emboss Machine it is much easier to crank.
Now that you and the kids have made several cards, it is time to deliver them to friends, neighbors, postal carriers, etc. Write a little note telling the recipient that you appreciate them. A truly wonderful treat (along with a candy bar). Let’s get a head start on being kind.
