I think words as background are wonderful. And the Scripty 3D embossing folder gives such great WOW texture on today’s card.
Here is the card that we are going to create today.
MEASUREMENTS (Supplies and Links are at the end)
- Night of Navy Cardstock: 4-1/4″ x 11″ scored at 5-1/2″ plus scraps for foliage elements
- Crumb Cake Cardstock: 3-1/2″ x 5-1/4″ scored at 4-3/4″ plus scraps for the cake stamp and sentiment bar
- Vellum: 3-1/2″ x 4-3/4″
- Whisper White Cardstock: scrap for sentiment
ASSEMBLY (use any die-cutting and embossing machine)
- Stamp cake image on Crumb Cake with White Craft Ink and heat emboss with White Embossing Powder.
- Die-cut cake image and add Dimensionals to the back of the image.
- Tie a bow with baker’s twine around the pedestal of cake.
- Emboss Vellum using the 3D Scripty emboss folder.
- Emboss the card front with 3D Scripty emboss folder.
- Stamp sentiments and trim.
RETIRED PRODUCT USED: ‘Eat Cake and Enjoy Your Day’ is a sentiment from the retired Blow Out The Candles stamp set.
- Die-cut foliage from Birthday dies.
- Assemble layers on the card base as it pleases you.
- Grab a Whisper White envelope and add some decorative stamping or cut some coordinating DSP for the envelope flap.
- Don’t forget to make an inside panel for your message. Cut a 4″ x5-1/4″ Whisper White cardstock panel and adhere to the inside of the card.
